Artist's Comments

Well, I'm still working on this. Thinned the background stars, some. (Thanks for the tip, Rock; I hadn't noticed it, yet). Not quite happy with it, but it'll do for now.

I think I also rediscovered the custom brushes I had made for the nebulae. Or similar ones, anyway. And I saved them this time.

Also, all versions of this are in 1280x800 fullview for those with widescreen monitors who might want to use it as a desktop. I may do a version for 4:3 monitors later, as well, after I've finished. I will also do one now, if anyone asks me.

That is a bit better. It looks much less constant now.

I like your work, its really coming along well.

You might want to consider using real stars for your source material of star colors and size, number of and distance of planets in system.

Astronomers are discovering new planets around stars at a phenomenal rate. They have been providing astonishing visualizations of how these star systems are likely configured, but can't keep up with the rate of discovery. They have, however, heavily documented their finds, so it would be easy to pick a star to create a visualization of, for them.

Efforts are being documented on:
Exoplanets.org: [link]
and
PlanetQuest: [link]

I look forward to some more interesting visualizations!

Thanks for the support! So far all the planets and stars in my work has been done as much from scratch as possible, just to push myself. This is actually a really old star, from me. I recently came across a slightly better way to do them that I'm still tweaking and toying around with. See my newest deviation, WIP Space II, if you're curious.

And I love exoplanets, they fascinate me like little else in modern astronomy!

Yeah, saw that one first, and it led me to the older one, they both look great.

Yes, the rate of discovery of exoplanets is astonishing, and the variety of planet types they are revealing is staggering.

I've added to my Follow list in hopes of seeing more great works, keep it up!

Thanks for the watch!
